Client Email Configuration Guide

Mozilla Thunderbird

Follow the steps below to set up your work iMail account in Mozilla Thunderbird.


Step 1: Open Thunderbird

      a. Launch and Sign into Mozilla Thunderbird on your computer with your iMail credentials.


Step 2: Add a New Mail Account

       a. In your Client Dashboard

       b. Click the ☰ (hamburger menu) in the top-right corner


      c. Select: “New Account” And Click + to create New One


      d. Then Select and click: “Email”


Step 3: Enter Your Account Details

Fill in the following information:

          a.Your Name: Your full name

          b. Email Address: your_email@kalungi.co.zm

          c. Then Click “Continue”



              d. Password: Your email password / app password


Click Continue.


Step 4: Configure Server Settings (If Auto-Detection Fails)

If Thunderbird cannot configure the account automatically, click “manual Configuration”


Enter the details below:

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP)

  1. Protocol: IMAP
  2. Server: imbra.email
  3. Port: 993
  4. Security: SSL/TLS
  5. Authentication: Normal password
  6. Username: your_email@kalungi.co.zm




Click Continue


Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

  1. Server: smtp.gmail.com
  2. Port: 587
  3. Security: STARTTLS
  4. Authentication: Normal password
  5. Username: your_email@kalungi.co.zm


Click Continue


Step 5: Complete Setup

  • Click Continue


  • Allow Thunderbird to sync your mailbox
  • Your email account is now successfully configured


Click Finish to complete set up
